New wellies, new rain suit, new waterproof tent: with last year’s downpour in mind, these might be some of the items to pack in your Korrö trunk. But then again, the weather gods might be on our side!
For a couple of years now, the festival has put extra emphasis on young up-and-coming bands: some already on the way to establishing themselves on the folk music scene, others fresh from winning various music competitions, and still others at the very beginning of starting to perform together. With their youthful enthusiasm and sparkling vivaciousness they have left a lasting impression on us all, and they surely have a bright future on the folk music scene ahead of them. Even though this three-year project now comes to an end, it is by no means the last time young and promising folk musicians enter the stages at Korrö.
As last year, this edition of the festival will present bands from various countries around Europe as well as from Sweden, and as always there will be a vast array of events to choose from. The Korrö festival caters to every possible folk music taste, and to folk music buffs of all ages.
That said, we invite you to join us at the 27th edition of Sweden’s biggest folk music festival: Korrö is where music, friends, nature and all things good come together.
